Gillian’s Walks is proud to announce a donation of £570 to the Ayrshire Coastal Path Management Team, raised through its popular Ayrshire Coastal Path Discovery Series. This donation is in addition to the purchase of 18 official guide books, bringing the total contribution to just over £740 in support of the maintenance and promotion of the long-distance trail.
Over the past 12 months, 50 enthusiastic walkers took part in the Discovery Series, which explored the entire 100-mile route from Glenapp to Skelmorlie in monthly, fully guided stages. Each walk offered participants the opportunity to meet new people, discover hidden gems,and enjoy a supportive group atmosphere while ticking off a bucket list challenge.
The guided series was led by Gillian, a professional walk guide and active volunteer with the Ayrshire Coastal Path Management Board. Gillian shared “fun facts” along the way and ensured an unforgettable experience for all who took part. The format made it easy for people to walk this long-distance coastal trail without the usual logistical challenges, such as transport and tide times.
